Zara's Story

Zara was on the verge of returning home after living in a hostel. 

She had been attending mediation with her Mum and Dad and their relationship had improved considerably since their initial meeting. Zara had left her hostel to visit her boyfriend but could not return due to the lockdown restrictions. At the same time, she lost her job and since her boyfriend was unemployed, they were struggling financially. Her parents continued to try and support her but they were finding this difficult as neither were able to work. In fact, their income was barely enough to support them and their young son. Hyh provided Zara with food vouchers to assist her during the financial difficulties and prevent further tensions or arguments with her parents that may disrupt the family’s progress and delay Zara’s move back home.
