Volunteering Opportunities

After a career break, volunteering at hyh allowed me to develop the skills I already had, learn some new ones and give back something to the community. I have no doubt the experience I gained as a volunteer helped me land the fantastic job I now have.
Alison, Marketing Volunteer

Volunteering with hyh gives you the opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills as well as helping us to continue our vital work supporting young people and their families across Hertfordshire who are homeless or at risk of becoming so.

We currently have several roles available across a variety of departments.

All posts require an 18-month commitment with appropriate access to training.

Just click on the role you prefer, register your interest by completing a simple online form and we will be in touch.

Laura, Education Volunteer

Please note, hyh does not own or manage any accommodation, therefore, unfortunately, we are unable to offer volunteer roles that involve decorating, gardening, working in a kitchen or night shelter or anything similar.

For opportunities like these, you could try www.do-it.org, the national volunteering database which has the facility to search by area, organisation and interests.
