The 2K Challenge
Last year, we helped over 2,200 young people who were either facing homelessness or already in a housing crisis. As we progress through the year 2020, we are set to help a similar amount of vulnerable young people. That is why we are asking supporters to take part in our 2km virtual walking event.
Whilst most people are now working from home or in isolation from the outside world, we would love you to walk 2.2km a day. Whether this be on your lunch break, a kickstart to your morning or an evening stroll, it’s a great way to get outdoors whilst doing something good for the community. With recent Government rules and regulations on where you can exercise now, walking just 2.2km a day is the perfect way of keeping up your exercise goals and not straying too far from the safety of your home.
Have your family and friends sponsor you for walking your 2.2km a day in order to raise awareness of local homeless young people in Hertfordshire. You can create your fundraising page today at https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/giving/ and you’ll receive hints and tips along the way. Those who raise more than £100 will receive a brand new hyh branded stainless steel water bottles!
Why not get your household involved too and make your fundraiser a fun and friendly family affair. You can join our hyh group on the exercise app Strava to not only track your progress but also engage with those around you taking part in the walk.
Sign up today and join the fight to #endhomelessness across the county.
