Are you looking for a way you can help homeless people this lockdown?
We’re inviting you to take part in hyh’s Summer Sleepout this June. On Saturday 20th June, we will be pitching tents in our gardens, making beds on the floor or taking to our sofas for the night. Whether you want to take part inside or outside, we would love for you to join us! Simply donate a pitch fee for camping out and experience what it’s like for our homeless young people who don’t have a comfortable bed to go home to at night.
Once you have signed up to the Summer Sleepout, you will receive communications from our Community and Events Officer with tips for the evening as well as a Sleepout Pack with materials for you to download in preparation for your night. Whether you want to learn more about homelessness in Hertfordshire or looking for something to do with the family, this is the perfect event for you.
For young people facing homelessness, life was hard enough before the Coronavirus outbreak. Now they are facing worries about food shortages, where to self-isolate and benefit delays. You could help hyh continue to deliver its essential services to those who are homeless by having your friends and family sponsor your Sleepout. If you would like to be sponsored by your family and friends for sleeping out then you can always create a fundraising page through https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/giving/.
