Sarah’s Story

Remi, one of our mediators, speaks about her sessions with Sarah, 12 and her mum.

Sarah and her mum were referred to hyh by the school family worker after arguments and conflict made their home life difficult. hyh mediation helped Sarah and her mum rediscover that they could have fun together as mother and daughter, spending time doing activities like baking and playing board games.

With support from hyh, Sarah and her mum now have a much better understanding of each other’s feelings and better able to work through any disagreements that do arise.
