BerryWorld are very proud to have partnered with Herts Young Homeless as our charity of the year. Kicking off the year with a Bake Off competition, we were very humbled to have a member of the hyh
Live Life group come and talk to us about their experiences. As a token of appreciation they judged our Bake Off competition, tasting all the baked treats and selecting our winner. Since then we have very much enjoyed supporting the charity through their organised events such as the Night Rider
, Golf Day
, as well as hosting our own fundraising events such as our Easter Raffle and Boxpark Apprentice Challenge event. A number of our staff also took part in the St Albans Sleepout
, an inspiring event raising awareness and funds for homeless young people in our local area. Whilst this was a difficult challenge, it was great for team-building and very rewarding. At the end of the year, our CSR committee decided to match fund the amount raised by all our employees, meaning that we were able to donate over £10,000

Westside Services have supported Herts Young Homeless for several years. As Chartered Surveyors we regularly support people in the home buying process and we are proud to make a contribution from every survey we undertake to support hyh who are providing essential support to children and young people who do not have the benefit of a safe and stable home.

Being a local business, we are proud to sponsor hyh as they support vulnerable individuals in our community. In 2019 we supported with sponsorship of the Golf Day and Quiz, a Tough Mudder team challenge event, a massage-a-thon and selling Christmas cards. We will carry on supporting as much as we can throughout 2020 and are planning to take part in the Nightrider and Golf Day as well as organising our own fundraising events.

Our people based in our Hitchin life and pensions office chose to support Herts Young Homeless between August 2019 and July 2020. By donating the odd pennies in their monthly salary through our Pennies for Charity Scheme we're pleased to have been able to help vulnerable young people across Hertfordshire.
