The Health team supports service users whose accommodation is at risk due to mental health and or substance misuse issues. We also support those with acute metal health needs who have accessed in patient support and now need to resolve housing issues to ensure sustainable housing and support within the community. We work alongside Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust, Hertfordshire County Council and local housing authorities to deliver these services across the county.

hyh is part of a specialist intervention team. Working alongside New Hope and CGL we offer support with mental and substance misuse problems. The team have a focussed approach to identify rough sleepers and provide short term accommodation with intensive support to enable rapid move on to appropriate, sustainable housing. In addition to this, we are also part of a new rough sleeping initiative with Hertsmere Borough Council.


A collaborative partnership working with New Hope, Change Grow Live and Citizen’s Advice Bureau to reduce the number of rough sleepers in Watford.

We are working in partnership with Hertsmere Borough Council to support a new rough sleeping initiative they are in the process of setting up.Our Rough Sleeping Outreach worker will work to engage rough sleepers in Hertsmere and assist them to access emergency accommodation / gather the necessary information needed to look at a more permanent housing solution.
