Advice & Information
What is the service?
A FREE, countywide, friendly and confidential advice service to 16 – 24 year olds who are homeless, experiencing housing difficulties or require general advice on their housing options. Through assessing the needs of the young person, either face to face, or over the telephone, the Advice & Information workers will give realistic advice and options to the young person and family members, as required. They will refer or signpost the young people on to the most appropriate support services. Where possible, they will use their mediation skills in order to prevent a homeless situation by supporting the young person and their family to reconcile differences. If homelessness cannot be prevented, the service will aim to support a young person to access appropriate accommodation.
