Work/life balance

Having a harmonious work/life balance can be so important for your mental health. That’s why, on top of a maximum 28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), you’ll have the option to ‘purchase’ up to five days’ extra holiday each year.




We promise to be as flexible as we can be

We are non-judgemental, empathetic and understanding, and we know that you’re likely to have commitments outside of work. Whether you have children, you’re caring for a loved one, or another responsibility at home, we’ll do the best we can to accommodate your requirements. Our Flexible working policy allows you to work from home up to two days per week.

As well as this, our interview process caters for all, so we are flexible with interviews and assessments to accommodate various needs. Our HR team are there to support you through the recruitment process and answer any questions you may have.


All salaries within hyh are benchmarked at least once a year against similar local organisations and job roles so you can be sure that you are being paid a fair wage.

As well as regular 1:1 support and mentorship from your Line Manager, you’ll receive on-the-job training so you can feel confident in your role. You also don’t need formal qualifications to have a fulfilling and successful career at hyh.

We have a group of Wellbeing Champions who meet regularly throughout the year to plan for the year ahead to acknowledge special days throughout the year, share a regular newsletter, and organize wellbeing events across the year. Our wellbeing desk is a popular place for 5-10 minutes time out to take a break from your desk.
