At Herts Young Homeless, we've been providing big opportunities for big-hearted people since 1998.


Our homeless charity jobs at Herts Young Homeless allow you to go into a career or volunteer position where you can truly make a difference, every single day. And as caring, compassionate employers, we will prioritise your wellbeing as much as the wellbeing of the young people we support.

What opportunities are available?

Are you interested in working for a homeless charity? We have a number of paid and volunteer opportunities available. Our interview process also caters for all, so we are flexible with interviews and assessments to accommodate various needs.

Service Roles


As a frontline worker, you’ll be crucial to our operations at hyh. You will be helping to break the cycle of youth homelessness through education, advice and support.

What is the recruitment process like?

Our recruitment process will depend on the role we are recruiting for. It can consist of a combination of practical tasks, role play tasks, competency interview and a personal interview. We are very keen to ensure our process is an inclusive as possible and where adjustments are required, we will do our best to accommodate in enable candidates to demonstrate their skills in a way that will support their needs.
