On Saturday, August 13th Wesleys Café in the Methodist Church, Harpenden was taken over by a group of people representing the Friends of Herts Young Homeless raising around £150 for the charity. Harpenden Town Mayor, Cllr. Mike Weaver, (pictured here with two young members of the group) gave a short presentation on the work of the charity and thanked the group for all the work they do with young people in Hertfordshire aged 16 -25 years who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

Hand made greetings cards created by Anna Morris ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) and a delicious variety of home made cakes were on sale helping to make the morning an enormous success.

Friends of hyh will be out in force at the Harpenden Christmas Carnival on Sunday, November 27th once again with cakes and seasonal greeting cards, so do please come and see us!

If you would like to know more about the work of the charity and/or how to become involved with the friends of hyh, please look at the website www.hyh.org.uk.
