Whether you’re keen to run your own fundraising event, make us your charity of the year, or get your members involved in a challenge event, we would love to hear from you. We work with groups across the county including NCS, Rotary, golf clubs, religious organisations, Uniformed groups and special interest groups.
There are lots of different ways we can work together. From speaking at your events to designing something specific for your group, we want to partner with you. Have a look at some of the ways we have worked with groups recently.
Create something bespoke
We work with Oaklands College, partnering with their Marketing and Events course. A hyh team member runs a session with the students, telling them all about the charity and ideas for organising an event. After this, the students research their ideas, create presentations and pitch their events to hyh. A winning event is chosen and organised by all the students – on one occasion they sold pick n mix at an event, raising over £150. The students can learn how to organise a real event, gain valuable work-experience hours and make a donation to us at hyh.

Would your group like to learn more about what we do?
We have opportunities throughout the year for a team member to come and talk at your event. Email us at:
The Woodcraft Folk group in St Albans booked a presentation to help their young people learn more about the work of the charity and to encourage them to sign up for the Sleepout in November. In total, 7 of them took part in the event. Their leader said “It was great to have hyh along to run a session for us. It was very interactive and the young people got really involved in asking questions and filling in the worksheets. They came away with a much greater knowledge of what the charity does."
Organise an event
A local musician and song writer wanted to organise an event in aid of hyh. Together with fellow musicians they found a venue, created a programme of music and sold tickets. A team member from hyh helped with setting up online ticket sales, designing logos and posters and other aspects of fundraising support, including attending the event, selling raffle tickets and speaking. The event raised over £1300 for hyh.
