A group of fearless hyh staff have set themselves the gruelling task of walking 80 miles - equivalent to three marathons - across Scotland in a weekend to raise funds for the charity.


The months of training paid off for our intrepid London Marathon runner Stuart Witty who crossed the finish line on The Mall in a fantastic time of 4 hours, 25 minutes and 30 seconds to raise over £4,500 for hyh. Stuart, who works for Hertfordshire-based company Willmott Dixon, told hyh about the joy (and pain!) of taking part in the world famous race.


HET in Hitchin

hyh is a cause close to the heart of Hertfordshire business man and Crashpad host Steve MacSweeney after he found himself sleeping on friends’ sofas (known as sofa surfing) when he left home at the age of 17.


Congratulations to our hard-working iPro volunteers who beat off a record number of entries to finish sixth at the annual High Sheriff’s Group Awards and receive a grant for £750 towards the project.


Mardleybury Gallery

Herts Young Homeless are proud to announce the launch of an exciting new project. We are teaming up with the Mardleybury Gallery, Datchworth to create an exhibition centering around the theme of ‘New Beginnings’. The project will be a collaboration between hyh, Mardleybury Gallery, Mardleybury Gallery Artists, and Hertfordshire school children.


Our fantastic marathon runner Stuart Witty is holding a race night in support of his London Marathon Challenge, and to raise money for hyh.
The race night will be held on Friday, 4th March at the Sun Hotel, Hitchin and is starting at 7PM
