It’s been six months in the planning, but we at hyh are thrilled to launch our new service Live Life.
We are especially proud of this service because it has been set up by former hyh service users who want to use their experiences of homelessness to help other young people. And we’re delighted that the time and effort Live Life members put into supporting others is already being recognised.
Sukhvinder is a Corporate Policy Officer for Hertfordshire County Council and has been volunteering for hyh for almost three years as one of our Trustees.
The Board of Trustees are responsible for governing hyh. They decide how we are run and make sure all decisions put the needs of the vulnerable people we support first.
hyh's emergency accommodation service, Nightstop Herts was a lifeline for Sandra at a time when there was very little other support available to her.
Away from our frontline services which support vulnerable people who are homeless or at risk of becoming so, we have a sociable group of dedicated volunteer fundraisers, known as Friends of hyh.
