We are delighted to announce that we have appointed Jonny Whitehead as the new Chief Executive of Herts Young Homeless. Jonny will succeed Helen Elliott, who will be retiring in December.

On Friday 6 December, 120 people braved the cold and slept out in support of hyh and our partner charities, Centre 33, Emmaus, Open Door and The Living Room, kindly hosted by Oaklands College. The atmosphere was fantastic with a great sense of camaraderie between participants.

We are delighted that Chilfest 2020 has chosen Herts Young Homeless as their charity partner, with £1 being donated from every ticket sale. Over the past eight years, Chilfest has captured the hearts of thousands of music fans.

Students at Verulam School in St Albans have raised an amazing £3,100 for hyh through their 2018 charity appeal, which was organised and led by the Senior Prefect Team.
The theme chosen for the appeal was “The Home” and students were asked to think about what it meant to live at home, and consider those who may not be as lucky as they are.
