The Ladbrokes Community Fund aims to support charities and good causes within the local community. It also operates a Charitable Trust which has given over £6 million to good causes since 2003 and takes part in various charity events.

During the summer term, 13 determined students from class 10M at Garston Manor School completed the Giving Nation Spirit Challenge as part of their Citizenship Education project.

John Lewis Challenge Partners from John Lewis store in Watford spent a week in July fundraising for Herts Young Homeless (hyh). They set themselves a challenge of completing 2012 kilometres through taking part in zumba classes, line dancing, cycling, walking and running.

Key stage 3 students at Yavneh College get the opportunity to do extra-curricular activities.  One activity is the charity committee called Am Echad (which translates to ‘One People ‘).  Students from the Am Echad committee managed to raise a whopping £2300 for hyh and the same amount for two other deserving charities called JAMI and Jeremy’s Circle.
