Once again, at hyh we have been astounded by the kindness and generosity shown towards us over the past year.
Thank you for the many, many donations of money, supermarket vouchers, toiletries and kitchen items this year, we have made sure they’ve been put to good use helping vulnerable people in Hertfordshire.
Last year, 2,372 people who were homeless or at risk of becoming so, used our services.
Homeless Hub - 95% of those using the service were prevented from needing to access Children’s Services.
Mediation – 73% of our 16+ service users either remained or returned home.
Nightstop Herts – 44% of young people were referred to the service due to a family breakdown
18+ Advice Line – received 550 calls
Floating Support – 85% of service users maintained their independent living
Health- Our support workers helped 142 service users with their housing needs as part of the Complex Needs Service in partnership with Turning Point and Herts Mind.
We couldn’t have achieved so much without the many individuals, schools, churches, community groups and companies that supported us in 2018.
Although we can’t thank you all individually, we want you to know how much we truly appreciate your help.
