Our iPro (Involvement Project) Group is made up of former service-users, who use their experiences of homelessness to raise awareness of hyh and the support we can offer those in crisis.

Aside from supporting the hyh Fundraising Team, iPro arrange and organise their own events which gives them the opportunity to learn new skills and put them into practice.

iPro member Dan Smith reports on the group’s latest success:

hyh iPro members were proud to be involved in the Hatfield Halloween Fest on October 28th, raising awareness of homelessness in Hertfordshire.

iPro got together before the event to brainstorm ideas for a game we could play to raise money and attract visitors to come and speak to us.

“We decided on a witch’s hat ring-toss game which we made together and painted.

“On the day, we showed our Halloween spirit and dressed up for the occasion. We arranged a selection of prizes for winners and almost winners (there weren’t any losers in our game!) and set up some face painting for the kids.

The game was a great success and gave us a chance to discuss hyh’s range of services and how they help others. We also raised a grand total of £128.
