The generous staff and customers of Hitchin-based restaurant & bar Osinsky’s raised an amazing £1,000 for hyh as part of their recent 5th birthday celebrations.
Osinsky’s donated a percentage of the bar takings from the night as well as organising a collection from customers for hyh.
“I’d like to say a massive thank you to the staff and customers of Osinsky’s for the support and generosity they’ve shown hyh.
“To raise £1,000 for hyh is incredible. That amount could fund 40 nights in Nightstop Herts, our new emergency accommodation service for 18 to 24 year olds.
“It also provided a great opportunity to raise awareness of hyh and our vital work in preventing homelessness,” said the charity’s community and events fundraiser Alison Wildey.
Osinsky’s owner Mik said: “Osinky’s is a popular venue to many young, local people so it feels right to support a charity that focusses on helping young people in crisis and preventing homelessness. We’ll continue to fundraise for this fantastic charity.”
