Raising money for Herts Young Homeless (hyh) was a piece of cake for staff at TSB Potters Bar who made £165 for the Hatfield-based charity at a recent bake sale in the branch.

hyh have been selected to be the Local Charity Partner for TSB Potters Bar.

Branch manager Maria Militello said: “Herts Young Homeless is a local cause that’s close to people hearts here in Potters Bar and we are delighted to welcome them as our new Local Charity Partner.

“We’re busy planning lots of fundraising activities for the coming months and can’t wait to build our partnership with them and support the vital work that they do for our local community.”

hyh helps around 2,000 vulnerable people a year across Hertfordshire who are homeless or at risk of becoming so.

“It’s fantastic that a high street bank is supporting local charities in this way,” said hyh Head of Fundraising Kathryn Salmon.

“The bake sale was a great success and knowing that the staff at TSB Potters Bar are working hard to raise funds and awareness for us in the local community is the icing on the cake!”
