The intrepid hyh team in Inverness at the end of their epic journey
A team from Herts Young Homeless (hyh) proved their boots were made for walking after raising over £5,000 for the charity by hiking coast-to-coast across Scotland.
Months of training paid off for the hardy group of hyh staff and volunteers who completed the gruelling 79-mile walk from Fort William to Inverness along the Great Glen Way in just 50 hours.
“It was an amazing experience, and a great opportunity to raise much-needed funds for a very worthwhile cause,” said Kathryn Salmon, head of hyh’s Floating Support Service.
“There were highs and lows throughout, beautiful scenery and for most of us it was a life changing experience.
“We are already planning our next challenge!”
