Watford-based accountants Hillier Hopkins served up a tasty treat for hyh with a cheque for £10,157 from their popular St George’s Day charity luncheon held at Vicarage Road Stadium.

Such an incredible amount will fund an entire package of Advice, Crashpad, Mediation and Floating Support for up to 10 16-year-olds who have been made homeless,” said delighted hyh CEO Helen Elliott.

hyh’s  Anna, co-ordinator of our service-user volunteer project iPro, proved to be the star of the show, speaking eloquently at the luncheon about her experience of homelessness which moved some of the audience to tears.

Not satisfied with handing over the huge cheque, Hillier Hopkins also generously donated a starter pack, which included a toaster, kettle and bedding, for one of our young service-users who was about to move into their own accommodation.

We are delighted to be able to help this great local charity continue its work which makes such a positive difference to people’s lives,” said Grant Franklin, Managing Principal of Hillier Hopkins.

This wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible generosity of the clients and friends of Hillier Hopkins”.
