Friends of hyh had a very successful, fun day on November 25th at the Harpenden Christmas Carnival, raising just over £400 from a tombola, raffle and serving warm mulled apple juice with gingerbread. Despite the windy weather and the charity stalls being dismantled for safety reasons by the Town Council we rustled together some tables and made the very best of a challenging situation!! With a court jester and snowman (well, snowwoman!) with us, the public were delightful and very generous.
We had some wonderful raffle and tombola prizes donated to us, and send a big thank you to everyone who supported us with this.
Our next event will be running the charity car park at Oakland College WGC campus on Saturday, January 19th so please come and see us if you are there!
