Anna Morris, hyh board member wins Role Model of Year at Comet Community Awards 2012
A few words from Anna Morris:
“Myself and Sue Cummings (Board member of hyh), attended the Comet's annual community awards on 31 May 2012, after Sue nominated me for my volunteering work hyh. I was absolutely overwhelmed to be selected as a finalist and am even more so overwhelmed to have won the award of Role Model of the Year 2012! It was a very grand event and it was very nerve wrecking being up on stage in front of so many people! Especially as I didn't expect to win, so had not prepared anything to say! I am absolutely honoured to have won! I feel a lot of the credit for the achievements I have now made in my life are owed to the wonderful and outstanding help and support hyh have given me over so many years. It is an absolute privilege to be able to give back to the charity in whatever way I can! So... many thanks to hyh and for my award!
