Grant Shapps takes a leap to make a difference

Grant Shapps, Minister of State for Housing and Local Government is preparing to bungee jump from a 160ft crane to raise awareness of homelessness, and he wants you to jump with him. Charity Lake Leap is taking place on Sunday 16th October at Stanborough Lakes in Welwyn Garden City and will be raising funds for YMCA Central Herts and Herts Young Homeless Group.

Jump for homelessness this autumn

Herts Young Homeless and YMCA Central Herts have teamed up with UK bungee jump to get your heart racing while raising much needed funds to help prevent homelessness.  ‘Charity Lake Leap’ will take place over water at Stanborough Lakes in Welwyn Garden City on Sunday 16th October 2011 from 10am – 5pm.

On May 26th, 9 intrepid cyclists left Greenwich Park in London on the start of their 5 day journey to the Eiffel Tower in Paris.  The cyclists, all employees of Herts Young Homeless (hyh) embarked on the challenge to raise much needed funds for the charity.
